Carters Wavemakers? Who and what are they about I hear you asking yourself.

The Facts

On 17 April 2009 at the Fife Institute of Physical and Recreational Education, Glenrothes, 4 members of Carters Accountants LLP have ‘volunteered’ to take part in a sponsored 5km swim (equivalent 200 x 25m lengths) in aid of the Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Swimathon Foundation charities.

The rules state that we are each only allowed in the water once, we are not to stop swimming at any point (for a breather) but we are however, allowed to change stroke and must complete the distance as a team in no longer than 3 hours.

The organisers of the Swimathon have kindly arranged for volunteer length counters, so that means no cheating!!

About us

Our team from the Glenrothes office consists of Kirsty Mutch (our valiant team captain), Fiona Wilson, Faye MacDonald and Lucy Brinklow.

Training has already begun; we have set a team goal of £100 but don’t mind at all if we exceed this!!
