Budget 2010
I do not think any of us in business need reminding how difficult it is to balance the books during troubled times. The Government faces similar challenges but on a national, if not international scale. To balance the Government's books, we know that we are already facing a period of higher taxation and quite probably a period of severe cuts in public expenditure. It is, therefore, intriguing to contemplate what this year's Budget will bring, bearing in mind this is a general election year. Will we see a range of vote winning measures to ease the taxation pain levels? Or will we see an austere range of changes to keep the international markets and economists happy?
To find out what is actually announced in the Budget, I am pleased to invite you along to our annual Budget presentation to be held at Cluny Clays, Cluny, by Kirkcaldy, on Friday 26 March 2010.
Please click here to download full details of the location, date and time.
Our Tax Partner, Stephen Taylor, will once again lead the presentation at the Seminar. The aim of the presentation is not only to give you an overview of the Chancellor's proposals but also to identify tax-planning issues and to highlight areas of concern to be addressed.
If you would like to attend our Budget presentation, please fax or post the enclosed reply slip to us, or indeed e-mail us, as soon as possible. If you are unable to attend the Seminar we would be happy to speak with you individually, at a later date, and carry out a Post Budget Impact Review.
